GOSPEL NOTES FOR NEXT SUNDAY

Lutheran text study based on the Gospel lessons from the Revised Common Lectionary as used by Lutherans. The meeting centers on exegesis of the text and sharing sermon ideas. The first exegetical notes are posted the previous Sunday evening as a discussion starter.

Each Sunday is a separate meeting, started several weeks in advance, with open ecumenical discussion of all the texts for the day.

Dr. Scott Black Johnston, asociate professor of practical theology and homiletics at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, will present a fresh exploration of lectionary texts for Advent and Christmas Eve.  To participate, join:
